Donna, I can't begin to thank you enough for helping me over the years to change my life to a healthier one. From cleansing my body of toxins to straightening out my thyroid, you have seen me through to better health. Your special nutritional programs, which you have designed just for me, have balanced my hormones, among other things, and my hot flashes are just about ancient history!
I have more energy than ever and my body (and mind) are in good shape.
Thank you again for changing my life! Frances Staten Island, NY 2/14/09
Hi Donna,
I am writing to say thank you for saving my life!
Last May, when I came to you for help, I had a leaky valve in my heart. I was headed towards heart surgery, possibly within six months. This condition had been getting steadily worse for the past several years.
You suggested I get several tests, including blood and food allergy testing. As a result, we uncovered a problem with my thyroid. Also, my ferritin level was very high, a condition where stored iron in the body is not released, causing iron overload. This is a condition that can cause major damage to internal organs, including the heart.
After starting me on a special nutritional program, which included an anti-inflammatory diet and supplements that were designed for my body, within four months, my heart condition improved dramatically -- no surgery needed! The heart specialist was literally in disbelief!
I had also lost weight, my thyroid has improved, and my ferritin is now down to normal levels.
The tests you suggested for me were tests that my physician does not ordinarily order. If you hadn't asked me to take these tests, I would still have these conditions, and I don't want to even think of how I would have ended up!
Thank you again, Donna, for guiding me back to a healthier life..from the bottom of my "healthy heart"! Vinny Saylorsburg, PA 2/15/09
I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis about 14 years ago. I was on all kinds of medications that were masking the symptom and not helping me emotionally at all. I was hospitalized with a bad flare up and was told by my doctor that if my colitis wasn't controlled my colon would have to be removed to prevent any further complications.
I met Donna before, but had lost contact with her for years. I finally got a hold of her through a mutual friend. I learned from Donna that I didn't have a condition but a symptom caused by poor nutrition and lack of supplements. I decided not to get colon removed and through diet and supplements I was able to control it, that is until I started eating junk food again.
Donna continued to see me until I realize that we are what we eat. It has been over a year since Donna saw me last and the diagnosis from my November 2008 colonoscopy was 100% COLITIS FREE. No more drugs, but good food.
Words cannot express how grateful I am by knowing Donna. She is very knowledgeable, caring and thriving to get others well. She is the best. I will always be thankful to her. Jerry Pollock 1/8/09
I have been under the care of Donna DiMarco for six months. I had been ill for a period of a year and a half with various ailments for which the traditional medical establishment was unable to find a diagnosis let alone a remedy.
Donna, in short measure determined that my ailments were caused by a confluence of many things, including, but not limited to, the stress and rigors of my profession and diet, and she designed a plan to set me on the road to wellness again.
Before I met Donna, I was desperate and was convinced that no one could help me and that perhaps my best days were behind me. Today, due solely to Donna's professionalism, dedication, compassion, caring and relentless perseverance, I am much better, and have hope that I shall soon return to a state of wellness once again.
For anyone that has been betrayed by the shortsightedness of the traditional western medical approach to an ailment, I highly and strongly recommend a consultation with Donna.
She saved my life and gave me hope again and she will for you as well. D from Fort Lauderdale 1/21/09
I came to Donna because Whitney, my younger daughter, was having some difficult times academically. She had always been a good student but suddenly there was a change. I tried watching her carefully and wondered about her having ADD. Donna and I talked about this and it seemed like it could have been plausible but without some blood testing we would not be able to rule out nutritional issues.
While waiting for the results I kept my daughter on a gluten free diet. I reduced her sugar intake quite a bit. The results came back and Whitney had a lot of components of her blood work either too high or too low. Donna recommended the vitamins that we needed to get her back into balance.
After 3-4 weeks of supplements, Whitney, herself, was noticing that her focus on school work was easier and she felt better. Her marks improved and she could perform to her ability again. We retested and Whitney blood work was improving. She continued taking her vitamin regimen and watched her diet.
It’s funny how we can now tell if Whitney has had too much sugar as she loses focus. So I thank Donna for her expertise in helping Whitney get back to the 14 year old we know and love and thanks to Donna, we avoided going to an endocrinologist who would have put Whitney on all kinds of thyroid drugs when all she needed was to watch her diet and take vitamin supplements to get balanced.
Thanks Again, Debbie and Whitney 1/27/09
Although I had what I considered to be a very healthy diet and lifestyle, I was not experiencing good health. My energy level and mental alertness were diminishing and my ability to get a good night's sleep was worsening.
As a new client, I filled out a detailed information packet. I appreciated Donna's ability to evaluate everything, including my diet, read my blood tests and look at the whole person in order to make a plan of action. This was something my doctors had been unable to do. Allergies, food sensitivities and nutritional deficiencies were identified. Corrections were made to my environment and diet and alternative foods and supplements were added.
It took time and energy to change habits, but it was so worth the effort in order to experience a sense of health and well-being. Thank you Donna DiMarco! Lisa 1/27/09
About a year ago I was diagnosed by my family physician as having Hashimoto’s disease. The TSH level was high and the TPO level was close to 400. The doctor said that "there is nothing to do about it at this point". If or when this develops into hypothyroidism, the doctor said he would give me thyroid hormones to correct that condition.
When I described my condition to Donna Di Marco she recommended I get a comprehensive blood analysis. Based on the functional blood chemistry results, Donna concluded that in addition to the Hashimoto’s, I may need support for dysglycemia and adrenal fatigue.
I followed the protocol that Donna recommended, which Included dietary changes and supplements and after 6 months my TPO reading was in the normal range. In addition, my other conditions are improving. I have more energy and less mood swings, my blood sugar level stabilized and the adrenal function improved dramatically. Sam Vizner 2/8/09
Because of my poor choices in nutrition, which I had experienced the better part of my life, my problems of greatest concern were that I was experiencing panic attacks, forgetfulness, frustration, fatigue , loss of hearing, some depression, headaches and loss of energy. She determined what might be the cause of my problems and designed a program especially for me.
Since starting Donna’s program, all my symptoms are slowly disappearing.
I want to thank you for your knowledge and insight.
Thank you again! Beatriz 2/8/09
Just a note to comment on my progress in relieving my major symptom of "fogginess in the head". I find that the symptoms have decreased almost entirely, and a side effect of giving up dairy is that my post nasal drip has been drastically reduced. We have worked together for a year, and it is the first year in at least the last 20 years, that I have not had an infection that put me off my feet for one to two days.
Thank you for your help and the fact that you genuinely care.

Thanks to Donna’s vast knowledge and utmost care, I was able to discontinue the use of birth control pills and regulate my cycle naturally. Through the use of natural therapies (NOT synthetic hormones) and lifestyle changes, my painful ovarian cysts no longer form. She has helped me get my energy back and most importantly, instructed me on better ways of eating and living. She has taught me natural ways to support a healthy immune system and rid my body of harmful toxins. Donna is a God send to all those she encounters. May God bless her with many years of health so she can continue doing the amazing work that she pursues.

Dear Donna,
I’ve been putting this letter off long enough. When I first came to you against my better judgment and at Bunny’s insisting, I was convinced I was at death’s door. My complexion was the color of a papaya, I felt weak and had dizzy spells that lasted for hours every day. I could have slept 24 hours a day.
Under your healing hand for two months, following your instructions I can now say, I am reborn. I can go all day without a nap, I have vitality for the first time in years. The dizzies are much less frequent and they go as fast as they come. Bunny says, “Thank GOD I’ve got my Shelly back.”
Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. Wishing you and yours the best of all things.
Shelly

I lost all control the day my son was admitted to the hospital, via the emergency room. Being an RN, I had lots of knowledge as to what was happening. I was horrified to learn that my son had a chronic, autoimmune disease, called ulcerative colitis.
I was not ready to accept the fact that Randy would have to be on medication for the rest of his life in order to keep the inflammation at bay. He just turned 15 years old. I was devastated, to say the least. I sat on my computer and searched for answers.
I was blessed to have crossed Donna DiMarco’s path when I was a student in her Nutrition course at Broward Community College. She was the turning point. Donna was eager to hear my situation, and without hesitation gave me much needed advice.
Randy has been under Donna’s care since his discharge from the hospital and with great joy I am happy to say he is doing fabulous. Randy follows a gluten-free, wheat-free, casein-free diet. Randy has stopped taking all medications.
I am grateful everyday….
Donna Ellis
Dr. DiMarco,
Did I tell you what I had to go through to get into your course? Apparently it is always filled, and now I know why. Regardless of the outcome, your class has made a definite change in my life. I don’t know if you noticed it, but during your class I lost 20 pounds. I did this subsequent to the first food log , which was a real eye-opener, by changing my diet but I think the most impact was from exercising, more than an hour of mostly aerobic and some anaerobic about 5 times per week. I’ve been depressed and I’ve been using exercise in lieu of Zoloft, which I have not taken since the beginning of class. I also stopped taking Omeprazole ((a generic PPI) within the first few weeks of class and I am experiencing fewer and fewer symptoms as time goes by.

Dear Dr. Di Marco:
I feel so blessed to have met you!
You should know that you have been a catalyst for change in eight people in my life. My weekly phone conversations with my parents (who live in Argentina) now revolve around exciting health news and positive reports of improvement! My mother (who's been diagnosed with IBS for years) was hospitalized with bloody diarrhea just as our nutrition class started. Her colonoscopy revealed signs of (chronic) irritation, and her stool cultures were negative, so against her doctors' advice (who insisted her diet could not have been the culprit) she has been gluten, sugar, and dairy- free for 10 weeks now, and continuing to improve!
I was touched to hear about your nephew's diagnosis. Thank you for sharing his story with us. My oldest boy (13), with whom you may remember seeing me on campus, has had similar diagnoses in the past, ranging from PDD, (borderline) Asperger's, bipolar, and ADHD. Like the rest of my family, his diet has been reduced to whole foods and nutritional supplements, and we already notice a positive change in his behavior. Last month, his therapist (a psychiatrist) fired him from his practice after I continued to refuse to put him on medication. I felt triumphant walking out of his office! The knowledge you imparted in us gave me the conviction that I am doing the right thing. I have hope for his future. Our next step is to test him for allergies.
The timing of this class has been God-sent (I don't believe in coincidences). My affinity for holistic approaches to medicine have now been cemented. Thank you. I hope to keep in touch with you as I embark in my RN training, and would love to be added to your e-mail list.
Sincerely,
Claudia Swanson
Just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful informative term of learning the essentials of Nutrition. As I pursue my Master's in Dietetics & Nutrition intending to become a Registered Dietician, I will keep in mind all the helpful information I have acquired over this summer. I'm looking forward to applying all that I've learned in this important course, and also helping to contribute changing/saving lives! In addition, I think it's great that I now have the knowledge & all of these resources regarding vitamins/minerals to help guide my future patients to the overall essence and balance of good health. It surely was a very enjoyable and useful class in which I will always be aware of the positive changes I can make to incorporate a healthy lifestyle of wellness to myself and others.
Best of Blessings & Good Health, Deanna Sossin

She is a great teacher.
Very interesting class. I enjoyed it.
Everything was great. Dr. DiMarco is a real good teacher.
This class should be mandatory for all majors or at least counted as a science credit for more incentive to take it. This class was very informative and life-changing.
This was the best course ever. I’m so glad that I took this class because it changed my life in some way.
This class was very interesting and it made me more aware and cautious. I would recommend this class to anyone, not only health majors.
Everything was meaningful because she used real life situations. You were a wonderful teacher and I am now leaving your class with better knowledge for my everyday life.
Professor DiMarco was one of the most interesting professors I have ever had. I skipped a half class all semester and that was in the beginning. After that I came to every class because it was so interesting.
“It was a great course. I truly got a lot out of it. Thank you for a wonderful class!”
“We followed everything in the course but it was really great when examples became more personal, like when our class went to Whole Foods and our teacher went through everything with us and educated us even more. She really went out of her way. Have more teachers like her. Not just someone who knows about the subject but who actually enjoy their job and make sure that they help you. Dr. DiMarco was completely awesome!!”
“The course was meaningful in every way. Well informed, interesting, well organized. Dr. DiMarco is an excellent teacher and she is also a professor. She gave us a lot of information about our health. Thank you Dr. DiMarco.”
“The course was very meaningful because the instructor was able to apply coursework to everyday use.”
